Who can get it?

Authorization of stay granted by the Spanish authorities to foreign students who are not members of the European Union so that they can Stay more than 3 months in Spain studying.

How?

It is requestd at the consulate of Spain in the country of origin or habitual residence, before comming to Spain. It can also be requested in Spain (legal novelty since the end of 2018) if you have 90 days as a tourist within 60 first days of this time of legal stay as a tourist ; in other cases, 1 month before your tourist visa expires.

Who can get it?

Students currently in Spain, pursuing higher education: university education (undergraduate, postgraduate, máster’s, doctorate) , higher artistic education, higher – level profesional training and higher – level sports education.

Those who studied in Spain and obtained their higher education degree in the last 2 years.

The tittle can be OFFICIAL tittel or OWN tittle (Titulo Propio).

When?

From arrival to Spain as a student, during studies or up to 2 years after finishing studies; It is requested both in Spain (provided that you are in legal situation) and from the country of origin (when you have returned to the country of origin after studying).

In order to be granted during the studies, the practices must have a greater entity than the same (occupy more hours), the studies being residual; Otherwise, the internships may be carried out with the NIE of studies and therefore the change to authorization for internships does not proceed.

Who can get it?

The student with study stay permit who obtained a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree with a mínimum grade of 6 according to the European qualifications framework (higher grade). THE TITTLE must be OFFICIAL , (OWN TITTLES are NOT ALLOWED (Titulo Propio).

When?

After completing your studies, within 60 days before the expiration of your TIE or within 90 days after it (that is, in the renewal period of your student visa, provided you have finished your studies).
